With Jesus Christ as our focus and centre, and as a congregation of the United Church of Canada, we are committed to proclaiming and living out God’s unconditional love for all people and all creation. We invite you to journey with us as we strive to bring God’s abundant life to the community of Sharon and the global community and to become the people that God dreams we can be.

Mark 1:29-39 (NIV)
Jesus Heals Many
As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.
That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

THE NEW HAILUN CONCERT GRAND PIANO

On December 18th, 2011 we had our new piano delivered to Sharon-Hope. After several months of exploring the idea of finding a new instrument for worship services ,concerts, and recitals Bob Leonard and the Piano Committee decided on the Hailun piano. The sheer sound, value, quality of workmanship, were the deciding factors. The Hailun Piano HG 218 is the essence of collaboration between China and Europe that is a work of art that beckons the pianist to perform. The execution of each intricate detail, place this 7’2” grand in a class of its own. If you are interested in finding out more about the new piano please contact the Church office at (905-478-2231) or if you want to hear it in action you are more than welcome to attend a 10:00 a.m. worship service.
